Constant search for glooooowwwww!

I don’t know how many times I have been fooled directly into buying a product, just because it had the magic word “Glow” as the main result after using it. And I remain until today looking for all those fooling products that claim to make your skin glow outside & protect it from inside bla bla bla…

So from all those foolish moments… below is what has worked, what broke my piggy bank & what caused several disappointments:

So let’s start:

Benefit: “That Gal” Brightening Face Primer: This has to be the star of all that I have used up to date, whether price wise or that it really works. It is a very light pink cream that extends on the skin easily and gives a nice glow to my skin. The only complain I have is that I cannot wear it daily because it breaks me out and I generally use it on its own.

SKII: Brightening Lucent Base: It is a skin coloured soft cream that has a little bit of shimmer and claims brightening effects & healthy for anti aging with sunscreen protection of SPF25PA+++. As must as I love SKII skincare products I must say that this is ok but not wow, apart from that it does not last so long on.

Dior: Skin Nude BB Cream: It has a very nice texture, I decided to give this a try after using in Shanghai the Dior Snow BB cream. I love it but I got the wrong shade for me since medium is too dark for me.

Chanel: Sheer Illuminating Base: It smells great, costs a fortune and use sparigly otherwise you look like a Geisha, but is really nice and does the job, I have a whole post about it, I wore it all christmas season.

Stila: Kajal eyeliner in Topaz: I use it only in the waterline to give an effect of bigger eyes or looking less tired and it is very creamy and easy to glide on the eye lid. The only downside I found is that I am a contact lense user and if I have it on for a long while I experience a lot of discomfort on my eyes and tears.

Pixi: Eye bright Liner: This is really good and soft and so easy to use. The only negative it hardly lasts!. Now they have a new version our which is waterproof, maybe it lasts longer but don’t have it yet!.

Max Factor: Kohl pencil in Natural Glaze: This has to be my very favourite one and have been using it for years now but I cannot find it at the drugstore nearby anymore, I only find always the while one!

Above you can notice which one I used the most 😉

Clarins: Instant Light lip perfector in 01: I have been using this product over and over for more than 8 years now. In the past there were only 2 colours available, one light pink and another pechy one. Now I see there are more available colours. It is a great colour on the run, not so sticky but still its a gloss!. Smells that you want to eat it and your lips literally brighten your whole face. I absolutely love it. And as the years go by I will still keep buying it.
